The interactive activity provided in this article is an awesome way for students to learn the stages of the rock cycle. Students move through eleven different stations. In each of the stations students’ role a large scale dice and follow the directions the dice provides for them with each throw. By rolling the dice and moving students simulate a possible path for rock matter to follow in the rock cycle. A list of each station and how the dice are labeled for each station are provided along with evaluation questions. From experience using a similar method for the water cycle, this would be a much better way to have a student learn about this sometimes confusing cycle than traditionally taught.
