Teaching through Trade Books: It's Pumpkin Time!

When one thinks of October, many possible ideas to explore through science and reading come to mind—fall weather, changing leaves, and perhaps that annual trip to the pumpkin patch to select the perfect pumpkin. This month’s column highlights two books about this colorful and magnificent fruit—Pumpkin Circle by George Levenson and The Pumpkin Book by Gail Gibbons.
