If you have 150 third graders and want to engage them in a research project on Pluto's lost planetary status who do you contact? If you are the late Lindsay Jones the amazing librarian at Round Rock Independent School District at Cactus Ranch Elementary School you contact Journey Through theSolar System provided by Space Center Houston. This article is worth the read to see how this librarian and teachers used video conferencing with Space Center representatives based on student generated questions to investigate what is a planet. In the course of this project students developed research skills , evaluate information , wrote a paper and create a final video about their findings. This project is a tribute to learning and to Lindsay Jones.
