This article provides insight to a website called DECIDE. It is a Texas A&M website for integrating science, math, decision theory, statistics, geography, and reading to develop student decision making skills. It is designed for middle school students to learn about weather or climate integrating the disciplines described above. The lessons are free and can be downloaded. The decision making model presented here would be a natural way to show an authentic use of probabilities to make decisions, something that is addressed in the Core Math Standards and that ties in with science process skills. The websites are still current and as a matter of fact, the climate unit the author eludes to has been completed and added as well. This lesson would be appropriate for upper elementary thru college with appropriate modifications.
