Anchor activities are described as high-interest educational activities that students explore when they complete an assignment early. These activities must be interesting, educational and address multiple intelligences. After students achieve their written goals for the day they may then go to the anchor activities. The author provides a helpful list of sources for these activities. Since these activities are usually ones that there is no time for during class these activities act as enrichment for students.
