Two things ideas are emphasized in this article. The first is that students are much more attentive to learning when it is something they are personally interested in. Teachers are more enthusiastic when they are excited about something they are interested in as well. When both parties are learning and excited you have a win-win situation where everyone is learning. This is especially true for high school students who are exploring the world they will soon be part of.
