This article addresses what makes a classroom a ‘green’ classroom. After listing the reasons why the author explains what can be done to ‘green up’ a classroom. The article contains twelve principles of a green chemistry. This article should be a must read for all science teachers at all grade levels.

This article clearly outlines the purpose of the green chemistry movement and provides the 12 principles of green chemistry. It is a good introduction to the topic. However it doesn't explain or provide examples to someone with a limited chemistry background what one should use instead. The links do provide examples and lessons and extend the article. But for many of them you have to be a chemist to figure out what they are talking about. It would be nice to see an article that addresses green chemistry for those of us who did not major in chemisty but still teach it in our curriculm.
