I thought this was a great article about how animals communicate underwater. This article had great explanations and real life activities for people to try in order to further understand how sound waves work. It gives explanation on how animals are communicating through sight, smell, and markings whether they are looking for food, communicating to each other, or mating. This is a fun read for students that I will definitely be using in my classroom!

This is a fascinating article about animal communication in water. When we think about communication we think of our sense of hearing but one has to consider sight plays a big part as well. Sharks on the other hand have an awesome ability to smell prey a great distance in water. With that said the author describes how various animals communicate underwater with some very unique ways a few animals approach this. This would be a great read for students and a fun way to start a unit on sound.
