The authors present 5 activities that will enhance the retention of vocabulary for all science students but ELLs specifically. And many of the activities are cross-curricular; the use of root words and prefixes and suffixes or semantics webs and language, visualizations and art. These strategies can be worked into any unit and should help all students to develop better science vocabulary skills
