Four questions are presented to assess student understanding around phases of the moon. After each question there is a brief background explanation for each concept. There is a follow-up activity that helps students formalize the concept of moon phases.
The question, “What to do about Pluto?” is also presented. An activity is referred to called “24 Solar System Cards”, Solar System Cards, mintaka.sdsu.edu/projectastro/resources/solarsystemcards.pdf.
