The authors examined four technology tools that they incorporated their use into a non-majors science college classroom; blogs, video, a course-based management system, and a web-based peer graded writing tool. Pros and cons for each tool and specific ideas for their incorporation are discussed. Although the tools were implemented at the college level, much of what is discussed could be transferred to middle through high school grades. This article will be helpful if you are looking for justification for including more technology into your curriculum or are interested in avoiding the pitfalls that can sometimes accompany the use of new tools in the classroom.
