Investigations in the Science of Sports

by: Penny L. Hammrich and Kathleen Fadigan

The Sisters in Sport Science (SISS) program addresses the need for girls to gain equitable access to science and mathematics education by using sport as a vehicle for learning. This article provides an overview of this standards-based program and describes an activity relating track and field to physical science.
