Attention - Shipping

The transition of our inventory to a new warehouse is taking longer than we anticipated. As a result, we are experiencing fulfillment delays and order(s) are taking longer to ship out. We are working hard to get the stock moved to our new facility as quickly as possible so that we are better equipped to meet your needs. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Go on a ScienceQuest

by: Deborah Long, Kay Drake, and Danielle Halychyn

In this new learning strategy, called a ScienceQuest, students solve problems while learning “big picture” concepts. In this “Cousin Ella Left Her Pet” example, fourth-grade students are “hooked” when asked to care for a gerbil. Inquiry, investigation, and meaningful learning tasks follow, setting the stage for realistic products. An authentic audience provides motivation for simultaneously developing problem-solving strategies, disciplinary knowledge bases, collaborative skills, and dispositions.
