What's the Buzz? A classroom simulation teaches students about life in the hive

The opportunity to be a part of a functioning hive and the experiential nature of the lesson enabled students to learn how each bee's job contributes to the survival of the hive. Through this simulation students learned both content and process skills and expanded their knowledge of the life cycles of insects. This simulation allowed students to form new understandings and apply them to a unique learning experience.
