Although this is an older article, the information in it is still timely. To learn more about the New Origins mission, one should use the link https://cor.gsfc.nasa.gov/. The one mentioned this article has been archived. There is a great set of links explaining how NASA missions use the electromagnetic spectrum for detection. Also, there is great additional background given into early experiments using different wavelengths of light (i.e. Herschel's experiment). With some modification, this is still a great resource for teachers wanting to find application of the EM spectrum for their students.

The Electromagnetic spectrum journal article was interesting and insightful. The journal provided the reader with strategies and examples of different activities that a teacher or anyone can do at home or in a classroom. One example is compare and contrast using a t chart or a Venn diagram. It provide useful background information and illustrated different learning styles within the activities. The journal gives insight into the Electromagnetic spectrum poster.
