This article provides a summary of the excellent literacy resources available in the November 2008 issue of Science and Children. By reading this one page, one can read the brief summaries available in this journal and then go to the advanced search button of the Learning Center to locate and download each of the articles. These are resources designed to help teachers of K - 5th grade students integrate writing strategies into their science lessons. As the editor of Science and Children states, “ (This is)…our annual issue focused on literacy and science education.” This reviewer thought that was good to note that every year one issue is devoted to the literacy topic! By going to the NSTA main page and clicking on science journals, one can do a search of monthly journals by year. It should be fairly easy to discover which monthly journal of each year is devoted to literacy. Now we readers have gobs of literacy sources to check out! Thank you, Chris.
