This article is really different in the sense that real time data (RTD) does not include the use of a computer in this activity. General classroom tips are provided for the use of RTD. This activity was carried out in an informal setting and involved tidal pool water salinity over a period of time and compared this information with freshwater and ocean water in nearby locations. Students generated the questions to be answered and developed conclusions based on the testing of the water.
