Dr. Roy’s articles are so informative and provide excellent safety tips to help teachers provide safe learning environments for their students. This issue is about the newest resources by OSHA. It is sad that we still hear about students losing their eyesight or worse because a teacher wasn’t aware of the potential hazards associated with a particular chemical or lab activity. Just reading the MSDS sheet for a chemical BEFORE deciding to use it in the classroom should be a part of every teacher’s routine or safety plan. I highly recommend reading Dr. Roy’s Scope on Safety articles featured in each issue of Science Scope.
