This article describes a different way to study good teeth habits by exploring acids and bases first. The article is about working with a group of students in the Philippines to help them understand better tooth care. Even though it was written for students with another language it is appropriate in all classrooms. First the teachers had the children explore the pH of common foods that they were familiar with. Then they went on to explore how acids and bases affect teeth.
