This was a fun article to read! It's always great to have a simple guideline to follow when trying to figure out what to wear. Showing professionalism is a great way to show the students "who the boss is" but on the other hand having the casual days shows your students that you can also have fun while learning! My son's teacher does this and really gets into it when it's a fun dress-up day! It brings out a great character but at the same time his students focus on him when he speaks!=)

In today’s world sometimes new teachers can be very close in age to their students in high school for instance. Setting yourself apart from your students is the first step to establishing respect and telling them who is in charge. The article describes your need to develop a thick skin.
