The first thing that jumped out to me as I read this article was the statement as follows: “Once we realize that special education is a service and not a place…” Most educators are not given the choice for inclusion classrooms yet most educators that teach in this environment are ill prepared for the challenge. This article provides some guide to a more successful approach that will help in the long run for all children to succeed, which is a goal that all educators should at least try to meet.
