This Science Sample explains how to perform a color changing activity which is used to initiate a unit on acids and bases. The author describes the staging of this ‘magic trick’, what is needed to perform it, and how to prepare for it by describing what is needed down to what has to be done. The author also suggests where you can get the materials for this demo. A follow-up demo is also provided and safety notes are included. This would be fun to do in a chemistry class.
