Evolution: Don't Debate, Educate

Although controversies will undoubtedly continue, scientists should balance their desire for political, legal, and educational confrontation with creationists with the long-term goal of educating all students about science. This article emphasizes that actual experiences with scientific inquiry in the classroom and lessons on the nature of science are appropriate for all students and achievable by all science teachers, If implemented in school science programs, this avoids arguments with creationists and builds a strong foundation for students and citizens who can exercise a wholesome discretion about science and science education.
