During my time in high school and even college, the topic of evolution always raised problems. Many of the students in my classes debated evolution, instead of taking in the information. This article provided me with advice on to handle this topic in my own classroom. Being able to provide student's with proper and effective information on the topic of evolution is very important, and being able to avoid debates in the classroom is key, since the argument is normally not based on evolutionary fact. Using ideas based on the nature of science allows teachers to effectively communicate main ideas associated with the topic of evolution.
