An AP Biology teacher created a curriculum using what is called game mechanics. Basically he established a game with 55 levels. As students successfully completed levels they earn points and increased their grade. He explains how he did this and what type of learning strategies he used. In his game students can work in small groups to master concepts and not experience failure that often occurs with traditional game scenarios. Reading this article will let you know what he has planned for the future. It is a very interesting approach.
