This article discusses using an interdisciplinary approach (LA and Science) to develop a Unit about landforms. The authors explain the effectiveness of their unit by using eBooks. They listed the NGSS, Common Core Standards, their State Standards, textbooks that they used, and the two eBooks (from Scholastic) that they used. They pointed out the many advantages the eBooks have to support students. The students especially liked the “read aloud” feature. They felt it allowed them to concentrate more on the content rather than struggle with the reading. The authors also shared their forms of assessment. This is a MUST read for elementary and middle school teachers, not just those that want to add eBooks to their teaching strategies.
