I really enjoyed this interactive e book was engaging and informative. I would recommend it to others. On page 16 you are able to click on the Artic Fox and the Ptarmigan bird to see the fox's fur & the ptarmigan feathers change colors for summer versus winter. On page 18 you can tap on the bee to see how a flower looks through a bee's eyes. There is an interactive game in which you are a starving salamander that is competing with other salamanders to eat enough worms & spiders before the time runs out. There is also an interactive portion about the reintroduction of wolves into yellowstone. There is a game called Organism Trail in which you can choose to be a snowshoe hare or a barracuda and navigate through ecosystems and make choices which affect the survival of the hare or the barracuda. The exploring biomass pyramid activity shows how a change in the size of one population can affect another organism's population.
The e book provides a lot of information on abiotic & biotic factors, population density, limiting factors, carrying capacity, symbiosis, mutualism, amensalism, neutralism, parasitism, etc. I think the book is engaging and provides a lot of information on the key concepts of the interdependence of life.
