This e-book was an excellent refresher for knowledge of the solar system. Not only was this e-book a good refresher, but it dove a lot deeper into the topics than I expected, and I learned a lot of new information. I particularly liked that they had recommendations for which material was appropriate to teach which grades. I think this e-book is a great resource, and I will be using other e-books in the future to further my knowledge on other topics. I would highly recommend this e-book.

I chose this E-book to increase my understanding of the solar system. I found the information in the book to be very intersting and interactive. My favorite parts were being able to interact with the content and watch things move as they do in the solar system. I feel that this would make a great assignment for upper elementary students. They could work at their own pace, while also expanding their knowledge in their area of interest. Additionally, this content could be used as supplemental materials to teaching solar system content, even with younger students. Overall, I would definetly recommend this E-book to others!

This E-book overall was very informative, and gave plenty of new information about the solar system that I had not already previously known. I enjoyed looking at the pictures, and the quizzes throughout the module allowed me to further my knowledge on the topic. As I continued working through the e-book I realized this could be a very useful tool for elementary students who want to further their knowledge in this topic. This module could be used in the classroom by a teacher using some of the slides that could fit a certain topic instead of the whole module. Overall, with technicality, I had no issues and it worked well for me. I would recommend this module to pre-service teachers.

I chose this E-book for participation as I have always thoroughly enjoyed the concept of space, the solar system, and all of the planets! When I began working through this interactive book, I quickly realized that I was going to gain a deeper understanding of the topic, and my knowledge of the topic was expanded. This source served as an extensive tool which I find useful to use in the future as a teacher who is teaching a lesson on this topic. I particularly loved that I was able to click on pictures, and learn interesting information about the make-up of the planets, asteroids, comets, the sun, etc. I also really found the short video clips informative as well... As far as the technicalities of the e-book, I had no technical difficulties and everything worked well. The end of section quizzes were a good refresher, and they were great preparation for assessment at the end! I highly recommend this E-book to all teachers or pre- service teachers!

Overall, I found this e-book to be very informative. While I would consider myself to have a decent background knowledge in the concept of the solar system, I learned a lot of new information about this topic. I enjoyed how interactive the e-book was and how I was able to click on planets to learn information or watch short video clips. Additionally, I found that the short quizzes were well formulated regarding what was learned in that lesson. Overall, I did not have any technical issues during this e-book. Everything worked well and I was able to access it and move through with no problems. After this e-book, I feel much more knowledgeable with the solar system.

This interactive e-book was very in-depth about everything in the Solar System. It covered all the content needed to further my knowledge on this topic. The one thing that I didn't enjoy was the fact that it was so lengthy. I believe that it could have covered all the content that it did in a shorter amount of time. However, I did enjoy the details that were included that helped me gain more knowledge on this topic. The quizzes at the end of every module helped to keep important details in my mind as I moved through the entire lesson. I feel that I have gained a lot of knowledge about the Solar System after completing this e-book. I highly recommend this interactive e-book for anyone interested in the Solar System!

As I completed the interactive modules, I found the gaps and issues with previous high school knowledge that needed updating. Throughout my bachelors, I had multiple science classes which touched on basic lessons and knowledge, however, this interactive e-book allowed a deeper knowledge check and understanding of content. Each module contained a quiz and the final assessment went over the bullet points of the lessons. I highly recommend this e-book if you're looking to further your life science education and bring that knowledge into the classroom!

I chose to complete the Solar System Interactive e-book. Overall, I felt that this topic refreshed my knowledge as well as allowed me to gain knowledge on this topic. I felt this was a great tool not only for myself but for my future students to grow their knowledge during this content.

The e-book did an excellent job covering the basics of the solar system. It covered Earth, the planets, asteroids, meteorites, comets, and the formation of the solar system. Lastly it went over ways to teach the solar system in the classroom, based on grade level. After each section, the book had an assessment to review. The e-book also contained numerous interactive features, including popups of common student preconceptions. That part in particular would be very helpful for me in a science classroom. Other interactive features included videos, check your thinking videos, and hands-on activities. The hands-on activities can easily be completed in the classroom, such as the spinning chair activity that demonstrates the law of conservation of angular momentum. Overall, the book did an excellent job giving an overview of the solar system.

I loved this e-book. I have never done one of these before taking this class. Personally, I feel like this e-book taught me more about solar systems than I previously knew. The pictures were "out of this world!" I truly stayed engaged and focused on each little thing while completing the e-book, and everything prepared me for taking the final assessment to where I only had to take it once! I think this e-book help me understand so much more about the solar system and it also put it into perspective for me!

I have always loved learning about outer space, the planets, and celestial objects, so I found this eBook to extremely interesting! The frequent "quizzes" within it were very helpful because they allowed me to assess how well I was understanding the material as I read. This eBook contained detailed information about the history of how we adapted our view of the Solar System, which I really appreciated! Also, I found the interactive slides of our Solar System to be very useful because I could directly compare the differences and similarities of all the planets in our system. I didn't realize how specifically and intricately each object in space is classified. Without a doubt, I would recommend this eBook for anyone who has the slightest interest in our amazing Solar System!

This eBook was very interesting! I found the interactive elements in each section to be very useful and helpful. Each video correlated perfectly with what the section was about. For visual learners like myself, it made the information I read easier to understand. This eBook gives lots of information. It explains the differences between asteroids, comets, and meteorites. The formation of the solar system was explained. There are a lot more details of the terrestrial and jovian planets. I found the information on the formation of the solar system to be the most interesting to read about! I love astronomy so this eBook was a great choice for me. I would highly recommend reading!!

I loved this E-book!! it was very interesting, but easy to read. It was really cool to have some interactive potions in the book that helped further the learning experience. I loved this e-book. I loved the interactive portions of the book as it helped my learning experience. I feel the information presented in the e-book was well organized and easy to follow. The information presented was accurate and very detailed. I feel that this e-book was entertaining. The end showed how to teach this and it gave many hands on activities that can be used and explored. Some of these interactive activities can be used in your classroom with your students. I loved the "Take Notice" points that repeated to remind you to remember that a student misconception might be that they don't really realize how not accurate a drawing is of the solar system. I also love how many student misconceptions that are presented throughout the book.

This interactive e-book is a wonderful, comprehensive overview of the solar system. The book goes over the history of the solar system such as the different theories that philosphers proposed and why some were later proven to be inaccurate. These theories included everything from the Earth's position in the Universe to the distance between the planets. Next, the book dove into the different planets and why they are classified into two different groups: terretrial or jovial (also known as gas giants). There are many different characteristics that explain why each planets fits into one of these two classifications. There are also anamolies to these theories, but the book did a wonderful job of explaining why those anomalies exist and what may have caused them. Afterwards, the book walked us through other space phenomena such as meteoroids, meteorites, and comets. History was discussed such as how earlier generations saw comets as bad omens or signals of new beginnings. Eventually, people realized that comets were on orbits as well and that is why we can see some of them at regular intervals. There was also a description of how meteoroid, metorite, and meteor are all the same object, but the titles are used to describe differnt positions and stages of this phenomena. Finally, the e-book covered the origen of the Solar System. This is done by observing the different theories and focusing on each individual aspect - how did the sun form? how did the planet form? how did the stars form? how did our solar system form? how did our galaxy form? To wrap pup, the e-book put it all together to guesstimate the age of our solar system and our galaxy. As a preservice teacher, I especialy enjoyed the pedagogical implications at the end of the book that showed how you would begin teaching something so complex as early as Kindeergarten by introducing the simple concept of how a magnifying glass makes things look bigger. This prepares students to later understand telescopes and how they have facilitated learning about other planets and space phenomena. I have always enjoyed learning about space because the concept that we are just a tiny part of the much bigger picture resonates with me. I enjoyed this text because it was very detailed and gave a wonderful review of what we know while leaving room for the things we have yet to learn about space.

The Solar System Interactive E-book gives teachers a substantial background on our solar system and space in general. It not only describes the planets, but goes into the detail about the other objects of space such as asteroid and comets. It included many interactive features to keep the reading engaging and interesting. The videos help the reader to visualize what the book is describing. Additionally, the contents of the book were organized, but still discussed a wide range of material. It started out with Earth and then described other aspects of the solar system. I believe this is an excellent resource for teachers to gain full knowledge about our solar system in just a few hours.

I don't remember learning much about planets as a child. So reading this before creating a lesson plan on the solar system was extremely helpful. I really enjoyed this e-book! It contained so much interesting information! I learned a lot of new information while reading this that I had never known. It discussed how the solar system was formed, all of the theories throughout history, and all of the parts of the universe like planets, stars, comets, asteroids, meteors, etc. The interactive simulations are super cool and allows the reader to actually see what they are reading about. The quizzes and reviews were super helpful in retaining the information being read. The videos included in the book were so exciting! I watched them multiple times because it was super cool to see all of the phenomena. I would recommend this e-book to everyone! I can't wait to use this in my future classroom.

This ebook was a great read. I really learned a lot throughout the lesson. It has many good pieces of information. It provided many interactive stimulations for students to participate in. I learned many things including how dense planets are and how many moons each planet has. I did not know that mercury was the most dense planet, but now it does make sense as to why that is the case. This lesson is a great resource for creating lesson plans in the future. I really enjoyed this ebook.

This ebook is amazing and full of great information about the solar system we live in. It provides many opportunities to not only read information, but interact with simulations, review what you learned, and watch additional videos and images relating to the topic in each section. There was some information mentioned that I never knew so it was a nice surprise to learn something while reading it. For example, I did not know how many moons there were in this galaxy, and I did not know more than one planet had rings. I also did not know the difference between meteoroids, meteors, meteorites, asteroids and whatnot. I highly recommend this to other teachers or anyone wanting to learn more about the existence found in the solar system. This is great for creating lesson plans and refreshing our memory. I would definitely read this again and reference this in my future classroom.

I used this ebook to help me write a lesson plan about the phases of the moon. It was lengthy but I learned all about the solar system through reading, watching videos and interacting with different images throughout the ebook. This resource definitely taught me way more about the solar system then I already knew and helped me realize what should and should not go in my lesson about the moon phases. This resource helped me learn about the different planets and how each of them also have moons and some of them even have multiple moons-which I found fascinating! I would definitely suggest this source to someone wanting to gain more knowledge about our solar system!

This Ebook provided great information regarding planets, asteroids, comets, meterorites, and everything you need to know about the solar system. The Ebook was very helpful in learning information about the solar system because of all the cool features the Ebook provided. There were slideshows, animations, visual, simulations, and even hands-on activities. The "Check Your Thinking" and "Review What You Have Learned" helped summarize and further enstill the information into my brain. However, I wish the Ebook would have taken you to the information you were struggling with, in the Ebook. There is a final assessment at the end of the Ebook, but they aren't difficult as long as you went through the Ebook thoroughly. I highly recommend NSTA to students, educators, and administrators. These Ebooks are fantastic and provide great information on all topics of science. Thank you NTSA for this great opportunity and the knowledge enrichment on solar systems.

How can you go wrong with NSTA’s new eBook, the Solar System? I found it to be a comprehensive resource that covers four science objectives: “Earth in Space”, “A Look at the Planets, “Asteroids, Comets, and Meteorites” and “Formation of Our Solar System”. I loved the beautiful full screen videos that were provided to further illustrate the lessons along with audio to accompany the text. There were slideshows, animations, interactive visuals, “Hands-on-Activities”, and plenty of interactive simulations that I found to be very useful when I needed to demonstrate a concept. This eBook also included a “Search” button that allowed me to search for information using just a few key words. And the “Check Your Thinking” provided my students the opportunity to answer discussion questions or short answer questions in more depth. Another great feature was the “Review What You Learned”. This feature provided my students, in a multiple-choice format, the opportunity to review the concepts they had just covered. I highly recommend this book to educators and students wanting to explore what we know about our solar system and what is found within it.

I found this E-Book to be an extensive resource, well-deserving of its title, The Solar System. It covered four prominent features of the Solar System : “Earth in Space”, “A Look at the Planets, “Asteroids, Comets, and Meteorites” and “Formation of Our Solar System”. There were slideshows, animations, interactive visuals, “Hands-on-Activities”, and plenty of interactive simulations that I found to be very helpful in further understanding the material. There was also videos here and there to help visual learners, along with audio to accompany the text which can benefit students who struggle with reading. This eBook also includes a “Search” button that allows you to search for information so if you need to go back to a certain topic you remember reading about to help you answer a question, it can be done in a quick and effective manner. I also liked how there were quizzes at the end of each section to help students hit checkmarks and not be so in the dark on what to expect when it came to the post- assessment. Overall, if you are looking for a resource that summarizes a topic area as large as the Solar System this is the perfect resource for you! The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it is just a little bit long, so what I would suggest doing is reading through it and taking the important ideas from each chapter:)
