This collection has resources that relate to first grade or any of the early childhood grades. All resources in this collection correlate with the topic of what plants need to grow and how it affects plant growth. The web seminar is a seminar that discusses plant growth in the environment of space. The journal article is about what plants need to grow. The article describes an activity where students can perform an investigation to see what plants need in order for them to "gain weight". I chose two lesson plans to include in this collection. The first lesson plan is a lesson that a teacher can do with their students or have the students engage in this project with their parents to experiment with how sunlight affects plant growth. My last resource in this collection is another lesson plan. This lesson plan is an investigation where the students will learn about the characteristics of a plant.
