  • On what devices can I view Interactive E-books?

    These ebooks work online with Macs, PCs, iPads, iPhones, Android tablets, Android phones, and Chromebooks.

  • Do Interactive E-books support Three-Dimensional Learning?

    The grades K-5 E-books have been designed based on A Framework for K-12 Science Education.

  • Do Interactive E-books support the Common Core State Standards?

    The grades K-5 E-books support the Common Core State Standards, in English language arts and mathematics.

  • How are e-books accessed with a site license?

    When your school/district purchased the Interactive E-books, NSTA provided you with urls that give all people in buildings with the designated IP addresses access to the ebooks. These licenses can only be accessed via the range of IP addresses given to NSTA by your school/district.

  • How do I purchase Interactive E-books?

    For Domain (Site) license purchases please do the following.

    For individual purchases go online, add the e-book to your 'Cart' and check out.

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

    We accept credit card (AmEx, Discover, MC, Visa) or check. You can also send us a purchase order and we'll bill your school or district. Go here for purchase order form.

  • How will I know that my order has been filled?

    We’ll send you a confirmation email. If you don't receive one, email us at [email protected] or call 1-800-277-5300 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET.

  • Like most schools, mine is a nonprofit and does not usually pay sales tax. How do I avoid being charged sales tax?

    NSTA is required to charge sales tax only for orders placed from Georgia and Virginia. If you are placing an order from either of those two states, please submit evidence of your school's tax-exempt status along with your order.

  • Do NSTA members get discounts?

    Yes. NSTA members receive a 20% discount on purchases of individual ebook titles.

  • Do bulk purchases get the same discounts?

    There is a different schedule of discounts for bulk purchases. Please Visit the pricing page.

  • What is a domain (site) license?

    A domain (site) license is assigned to specific IP address(es). They are accessed by a url and can only be used within the locations that are tied to the IP address(es). They can’t be used offline and usage can’t be tracked.

  • Can I purchase ebooks for multiple people in a single purchase?

    Yes; however, you must do this through NSTA's Customer Service Department and request access codes. The access codes can be given out to other people. Please keep in mind that an access code is associated with a specific email address and can only be used by one person.

  • Do you offer e-licenses?

    Yes. All Interactive E-books are available as domain (site) licenses.

  • I teach a course and am considering an NSTA Interactive E-books as a student text. Do you offer exam or desk copies for prior review?

    Absolutely. We would be pleased to send you a free e-version for your review. Please be aware that the link to the ebook is functional for only 30 days.

    After review, please let us know whether you ultimately select one or more of our titles for your course. When ordering, you may take advantage of bulk discounts and licensing. See above for details.

Accessing and Reading Interactive E-books

  • Where do I read my Interactive E-books?

    You can read your e-books online by logging into the NSTA website and going to the 'My Library' tab. The e-books are listed here. Select the e-book you want to read and it will open in the browser.
