hello!  i am a student studying to be a teacher and i was hoping to find some answers to how i can bring in all the fun and exciting things astronomy has to offer. i am really into astronomy it captivates my attention so much, i want to be able give the students that same excitement and feel the need to want to keep wanting to learn more. is there any recommendations of how to start a astronomy clas for 3-6th grade students?

Hi Adriana, What a great idea! When you are excited about a topic, the students will be too. Here are some resources I found that describe how to implement "Astronomy Day" into a school - might these be of help? http://common.nsta.org/resource/?id=10.2505/4/ss12_035_06_45 http://learningcenter.nsta.org/resource/?id=10.2505/4/ss07_031_03_47 I also found this collection of ideas regarding misconceptions that students may bring to an astronomy class: http://learningcenter.nsta.org/mylibrary/collection.aspx?id=oHABuJC60iA_E I hope these are at least a starting point for your idea. Let us know how you end up implementing this - sounds like a fun time! -Megan
