Growing up, I was always told that wearing black would make you hotter and that lighter colors would make you cooler. I never really understood why that was true or if it even was true. Now I know that dark colors absorb sunlight, while light colors reflect the sunlight. This article talks about the ice cube experiment that was used to teach this to students.
