This afternoon I got fifty bucks worth of free Edmodo apps after completing a five minute survey. Edmodo has been a great way to develop an online education community with my students. I am able to post and receive assignments, students can save their work online, and links and files can be shared with students.

ChemCollective has a neat online virtual lab that simulates a wet lab, complete with pre-mixed acids, bases, indicators, and even glassware for virtual experiments. It can be used online or downloaded for offline use.

This site at teachers domain is a great simulation for the gas laws and the kinetic theory of matter. You can set volume, pressure, moles, or temperature as constant and play with the others to see how they are effected.

Wow what a great list! I am new to teaching, and definitely know that my students love it anytime we do assignments in the computer lab. We also have a mobile i pad cart that I share with four other teachers.
Betty, the iTunesU program seems like really neat, and not only as a "full course" for students, but also as a way to help them keep up if they are absent. As out school gets more and more into the i pads, I might make a suggestion that they allow us some PD time to create our courses on this app.
Thanks so much everybody for the links! I made a word doc to share with the chemistry and physical science teachers at my school.
Aloha, Nicole
