What exactly is an Online Radio? Online radio is simply a radio program that is streamed live or recorded online through the internet. The great thing about online radio stations is that they generally aren't geographically dominated, so wherever you are in the world, you can listen to your favorite online radio show. These are usually free to download and as long as you don't have a problem, you can enjoy radio nostalgie any time of the day or night.
There are many advantages of having your own online radio station. It allows you to reach a bigger audience than the normal broadcasting methods would allow. If you are lucky enough to have your very own radio show, then you know how important it is to be on the air regularly and gain loyal listeners. Another advantage is that you are in control of when and where your radio show should be broadcasted. However, there are some downsides to having your own online radio station. One major disadvantage is that you have to be in communication with your DJ every day. As long as your DJ knows what time you want to broadcast he/she will be able to stay on track with your broadcast. Another con is that you will need to pay for every download, each CD, and every recording, if you decide to take that avenue to get your shows live. Another con is that there is no chance of promotion, since your broadcasts are only sent to people within your immediate geographical area, but if you are lucky enough to be broadcast into a bigger internet station you will be able to build a loyal audience and listenership which will make you more money in the long run.
