help with a middle school science assessment

I am wondering if you would be interested in lending your science teaching expertise to a short project we are working on at Harvard.

We are looking to construct a tool to help teachers 'test' assessment items that they write or use with their students to see how well the items do in assessing students' science knowledge. We are starting with some of our test items from the MOSART free teacher resource (https://www.cfa.harvard.edu/ smgphp/mosart/ ) that have an identified problem, either too difficult or some sort of bias. We are asking for middle school teachers to revise either the stem and/or the answer choices to correct the identified problem with the items. There are only two items (unless you find it to be really fun and then I can provide more!) that we are asking teachers to revise.

Please let me know if this is something you would be interested in helping with - it takes about 20-30 minutes at most I am being told by others. Thanks so much and I look forward to hearing from you! (email me at: [email protected])
