Hello all. I have this vague curriculum pipe dream in which the class roleplays a stone age tribe who must discover all human science knowledge. It strikes me as a really cool way to engage students and breathe life into more abstract topics. Has anyone ever done anything resembling this idea?
O my gosh, I saw a professor at a science fiction convention who does this as a non-major science class! You can buy the book online (or at least you could, this *was* a while ago) - google "Caveman Chemistry". It goes from starting fire to making plastic. You might want to skip making beer, tho. ;-) Good luck!
