And now, a word about the NSTA children's book about eclipses:

Electronic Copies of When the Sun Goes Dark are Still Available

It is with mixed emotions that the NSTA Press announces that their award-winning children’s book on eclipses, When the Sun Goes Dark, by Andrew Fraknoi and Dennis Schatz, sold out all its printed copies two weeks before the April 8 eclipse of the Sun visible in all of North America.  Some resellers and book stores may still have copies left, but the publisher does not.

However, electronic copies of the book are readily available and can be downloaded instantly in easy-to-use PDF format for sharing with kids and grandkids on a phone, tablet, or laptop.

In this richly illustrated, 36-page book, 12-year-old Diana and her younger brother, Sammy, want to know why their grandparents travel thousands of miles to see total eclipses of the Sun. Readers follow the kids’ questions and learn the science behind solar and lunar eclipses, what makes these sky events so special, and how to observe eclipses safely.  For ages 7 – 13.

To order and receive your copy, just go to: http://bit.ly/sungoesdark and click on “E-book Only”
