Hi teachers,
Are you code curious? In partnership with the American Association of Physics Teachers, I will be teaching a summer online course on integrating computer science into physical science and physics. Teachers of Earth Science and Astronomy will also find the course to be very relevant. We will go over a series of 'physics of video games' hour of code activities that I developed for the STEMcoding Project (http://youtube.com/STEMcoding) that strongly align with NGSS learning objectives for physical science. (And there are astronomy and earth science STEMcoding activities that you will be able to pick up quickly after the course.)
No prior coding experience is necessary. There will be a beginner level course that starts on June 26 and an intermediate level course that starts on July 10. There is an option for grad credit if desired. For more information: https://aapt.org/K12/Online_Courses_for_Grad_Credit_and_CEUs.cfm
You can also watch a video I made explaining more about the course here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkVp9cO8HnI
