You make some very good points about the dual useage of food labels. There are many assumptions made by the producers and the consumers. For example, if a bottle of Gatorade is more than one serving why put it in such a big bottle? Another aspect that fits with your comparison, is the written directions for preparation. Yes, companies are starting to use more pictures to addresses multilingual populations, but as we all know from reading the foreign directions on our electronic products, syntax matters. thanks for bringing up such a useful teaching tool.
