What advice can be given to me as a student teacher that can help me come up with activities that make science content fun and interesting to those early childhood students?
Hi Claudia -- You could check out the 'Early Years' column in NSTA's Science and Children. Each month, there is an activity designed for these young learners. For example, in the November issue, Peggy Ashbrook writes about The Building Blocks of Language. She also writes a blog on the Early Years with many useful ideas. The best advice I have is to let children play, explore, and use their curiosity. By observing them, you can discover what kinds of topics they're interested in. Mary B.
Here's a website that is very helpful https://www.education.com/activity/kindergarten/science/ . It will keep your students attention while they play and learn at the same time. Hopefully this helps!
