Hi, all!  What are some hand on activities for science lessons that have worked effectively in your classrooms?   Thanks,  Joanna

For Health-oral hygiene, my Kindergarten students enjoyed the egg, vinegar, coke experiment, which was based on inquiry.

Hi Joanna, I am wondering with what grade level are you working. That will make a huge difference in how I respond to your question.

This is an elementary lesson on animal adaptations. It's specifically about birds. I modified this because I didn't want to use marbles or anything that might endanger students. I used Chex Mix at each table/group because of the variety of sizes and shapes included. I went to Dollar Tree and got six each of salad tongs, binder clips, clothespins, popsicle sticks, and small condiment cups came from Sam's Club. The students got to eat the Chex Mix at the end and used the condiment cups as their bird bellies. http://mrscienceut.net/BirdBeaks.pdf
