I wanted to share the next Meet the Experts virtual program, from the UCAR Center for Science Education. This  free  program is designed for middle and high school students, but anyone is welcome!  April 20, 2022: Networking at the speed of light Have you ever wondered how one computer “talks” to another? Ask a network engineer! Network engineers connect computers, people, and places by designing and building systems to transport computer data thousands of miles in the blink of an eye. Join us to meet NCAR network engineer Carlos Rojas-Torres and learn about his work with the Front Range GigaPoP project that delivers high speed internet for research and education. He’ll show us how he uses fiber optics to send information as light over thousands of miles!   There are for this program;  11:00 am - 11:30 am MDT and 1:00 pm - 1:30 pm MDT . It's a casual presentation followed by Q&A and facilitated on Zoom. Automatic closed captioning is available. Questions can be submitted in advance if you have students who cannot attend the session live and the recording will be available shortly after.  More d etails and registration  for Zoom links can be found on the  Meet the Experts page .  Any questions about these sessions can go to our  School and Public Programs Team . Please share this program!
