Opportunity to pilot new curriculum and be paid for your feedback

Hello. Are you interested in trying out new curriculum and getting paid for doing it? Then this program is for you. My name is Valarie Bogan and I represent SpectrumX which is an NSF Spectrum Innovation Center. One of the goals of this center is to increase understanding of radio frequencies and their associated uses. To accomplish this goal we gathered ten middle and high school educators from across the US and its territories. After taking part in an intensive two-week workshop on radio frequencies each teacher created two peer-reviewed lessons. Now we are looking for teachers to use these lessons in their classroom and provide feedback so the lessons can be improved for future users. Each selected teacher will receive all the materials necessary for teaching the lesson and $50 for providing feedback through a short phone call or Zoom interview (~20 min.) after the lesson is complete. Please note that you must be able to teach the lesson by Sept. 15, 2024, to participate in the program. However, there will be another opportunity next year so if you can’t meet that deadline but are interested please fill out the application and mark the box 2025.

Teacher selection will begin on March 15, 2024, and will continue until all funds have been distributed. Teacher selection will be based on location, demographics of school, reason for participating, and lesson selected.
