How can I help my students whose home life is not well suited for remote learning?

  • some students may not have a quiet place to sit
  • there are so many distractions
  • students may not want others to see there home because they are private or embarrassed

What are your best suggestions of how I can help students who have these struggles?

As a teacher, you can suggest for the student to use headphones. If the caregiver cannot afford headphones, give them the option to pick some up from the school or district. Schools should provide headphones to those students that really need them. Headphones can make a big difference because it blocks the noise around them, making them to only concentrate on what's going on in the screen.
