Hello! For my science methods course, I created my unit around earthworms and their importance. We studied them carefully and even built habitats for them! My students really enjoyed it. One thing I struggled with was keeping the students on task with the purpose of the lessons. I understand that the students were really engaged with their live creatures. However, I realized that many of them would lose focus of the objective of the lesson. Any suggestions to keep them more focused on the task at hand?

Hi Celina Just curious--what was the purpose of the lesson? How did you introduce the students to the lesson? Did you have some sort of assessment or closure? Based on these, I may have some thoughts.
