Hello, I am a soon to be elementary teacher and I would like some advice on how I can get my future students excited to learn science. What is the best recommendation on how to teach for my first year as a teacher? I plan to do a lot of hands on lessons that allows students to work together as group. What are your favorite tips or recommendations you have?!
Hi Pamela! I like how you mentioned that you would like to include hands-on lessons allowing them to work as a group because that's another way that can help keep them engaged into the lesson. I would recommend starting off with an exciting experimental topic that will catch their attention and encourage them to participate. I've also noticed that assigning small tasks to them such as assigning leaders during the activity also gets them very excited to continue learning about the material.
