I appreciate all the diverse ideas in this article. I think it is important to show the students real pictures of the canyons and landscape, but I also like the idea of reading them fun, illustrated books to peak their interest as well. I like the discussion questions listed to get all the students involved and the activities to get their bodies moving and minds working. As a college student, this article made me excited to teach science.
I think this is awesome the way it is set up! I love that it gives step by step instructions/ideas for the lesson. It is a good base for teachers to then tweak and make it their own. Things like this will definitely be a time saver!
