Hello! My name is Kylie I am currently a senior elementary education major at Rowan University. I attempted to design a lesson about the layers of the rainforest for second grade and found that I was struggling to make the content easy to understand. Does anyone have any good books, videos, or other resources that are appropriate? Did anyone teach a similar unit and if so how did you break it down into easy-to-understand lessons? I currently have the book The Great Kapok Tree and I would appreciate any additional resources.
