This is a great question Julia.  As an aspiring special education teacher, I am also looking for an answer to this question.  My biggest concern is keeping the children interested in new topics without them becoming overwhelmed with the subject.  I will keep an eye on this post for the answer.

This is a question I constantly ask myself throughout the semester as I go through creating lesson plans for my EDCI and SPED classes to present. What is the best way to introduce a new topic for a younger age group with special needs, because it a difficult task getting a lesson plan that works well for all students especially for subjects like science. Great question, and I'm looking foward to an answer.
