Hello All, I was at the Maryland Science Center this past Friday and was VERY excited to see that the James Webb space telescope is on display outside of the building. It will only be there until tomorrow (so I was told by an employee, but she wasnt quite certain). If you can, check it out; its hard to miss! What a great opportunity to see a piece of history before it is launch into outer space. Stand in front of the telescope and get your photo taken. Excellent piece to show your students when it is actually launched in 2018. Once launched, Webb will "find the first galaxies that formed in the early Universe, connecting the Big Bang to our own Milky Way Galaxy. Webb will peer through dusty clouds to see stars forming planetary systems, connecting the Milky Way to our own Solar System." Fascinating!
