Assessments in the Classroom

We can incorporate different types of pre-assessments in our lessons by doing them before and after you teach a lesson to see what the kids know. Pre-assessments help you  figure out what you also need to teach that student and what those kids are interested in learning about. Pre-assessments allow us as teachers to find other ways of instructing to help different student’s needs and diversity in a classroom. I would give a pre-assessment before the lesson or unit to see what the students know, and how to help them better. These assessments should be used as another quiz to grade the student and shouldn’t be hurting them, it should just be to help you figure out how to help your students better.

Effective assessments help us plan what to teach the students. It also helps us learn which areas we need to focus more on, and reteach. I think these assessments are important for both the student and the teacher. It also allows for the students to learn in a different way.
